In India, online security is what worries banks most, a survey which polled the country's 40 banks points out. Phishing is also a growing concern for Indian banks in terms of security, since approximately 30 percent of India's major banks have been affected by identity theft in 2007. Within the same period, 10 percent of Indian banks experienced "man-in-the-middle attacks", in which fraudsters or malicious hackers intercepted the transaction between the user and web-banking server.
