Newbie on the Premises!:)

Hey Everyone! I don't know if i am supposed to post a new thread to introduce myself or what but can't find any info about so...here goes

I am totally a newb to the adult industry...friend of mine and hubbys went with a site that offers you a site, for $495 plus $49 dollars /month. Well hubby and I were all for this. But me being the researcher i am; found that this opportunity would not be for us. Not very good reviews..(i mean real reviews not the ones set up by above company lol) so i decided to look into maybe building an adult site on my own. (hoping would be cheaper) and can be done on my time (not that i don't want to work hard or all the time)

You see, I am a stay at home mom of three. I love being at home with the kids. Problem is money...like everyone else i know. but here is the difference...i went to work....6 months i was there, then all of a sudden gov't says they won't help with childcare....family of 5 should should be able to live off of $3000 /month (plus pay daycare out of that) (by the way i live in canada)...well we couldn't live off of one income...i got a job and because of daycare costs associated with 3 children...quit that job to be at home again....sounds great right...except...were back at square one...can't live off one income...so i was researching at home opportunities...the usual rebate processing etc. yeah all sounded great did some research...and dang it....99.9% scams....so then buddy tells us about this site i've been mentioning (without mentioning it) and im thinking there has to be a cheaper way...i am NOT looking for get rich quick...i am not looking for being a millionaire...i want that little bit of extra income, that can help around the house a bit...that is it...so i am HONESTLY and TRULY looking to start an ADULT WEBSITE...something i enjoy as well as somewhat profitable as long as you work (from what i read)...

The problem i am having....where to start. I have read many tutorials, many ideas and do's and don'ts...but i can't come up with conclusive ideas...or a name...and i don't like to be a bother to people. at all...but now i have decided to ask for help or w.h.y. I am not html savvy but am willing to learn.

I don't NEED a one on one mentor....just general advice or if you feel like getting a bit more personal on the matter i am all good for that too. I have checked out where to get content from and how much and about what my first month will cost...

Domain Name: about $15/year
Web Hosting: About $15-$100 /year (depends on what i want and how much of that i want.
Content: anywhere from $3 for a few pic's to about 300 at what i was looking at.
Traffic:....well this one is a bit harder...haven't come conclusive what kind to get or where (this is where i need the help...

Plus....a good name. I have plenty of ideas...but the NICHE is the other thing i am having an issue with ...you see i myself enjoy girl action...but at the same time i was thinking of being a bit different and catering to the womanly side of things...erotic stories...etc...but you see i don't know if it would be wise..to do lesbians...and the erotic stories etc. (25-27 stories for $15-$20)..something i as a woman would personally enjoy.

But you see i don't know how well the market would respond to that.

So I am looking for any advice or criticism you have.

Again...not looking to be a millionaire....just that few extra dollars at home and who knows what else comes out of it.

I'm a newbie too. Have been doing research for about 2 months now. Indeed it is mind blowing.
If your going to build a site I would recommend ULEAD photoimpact. Its pretty strait forward. For a host, I have been happy with hostgator.com.They use cpanel which is relatively easy to use and understand. I have content that I may be interested in licensing.
