Get Your Site Spidered

Ok you've finished your website but no one knows it's there... This tutorial will show you how to get your new site spidered and indexed by search engines

Slow Way:
1. Submit your sites page(s) to search engines by hand and wait for few weeks/months to get spidered.
2. Put link to your new site at one of already indexed sites you have and wait for spiders to find it.

Faster Way:
1. Use an RSS feed. But your site is not a blog, you don't have RSS feed... So what?

You ca make feed file by hand and submit it to several feed directories and your site will get indexed in few days max.

Let's start... First we'll make your RSS feed file:
Open Notepad and add these lines. Save it as feed.xml and upload it to your domain root.

Now let's go and add feed to some feed directories so spiders can find us

Just a note, when you add new page to your site add it to your feed.xml file also by copy/paste <item> to </item> part of code and changing info to fit new page on your site.

Ups i forgot to mention Link Dumps, you can also submit your site to them, but be careful to submit to those link dumps that will give you hard backlink, not link generated by link dump script

you can modify your sitemap to create a socalled feed (it will be a lot faster)

This is where I seem to be having the problem. I have a directory site submitter that submits to 350 or so search engines, but I don't think I'm getting spidered very well. I used XSitePro to build my site, and it has a full sitemap prog that updates automatically. But I'm just not seeing the results on the search engines. I'm working on an article campaign right now to try and boost my rankings by creating a bunch of links to my site and I am creating a blog to also add those articles to as well. Any other ideas or suggestions for getting better PR?

P.S. I haven't added in an RSS feed yet, so i'm going to take your advice and get that in there soon. Thanks for the instructions on doing that.

well there was one site which got indexed in 2 weeks. But that was long time ago. I used some of the tricks that I learned, looked good but as in long run.. the indexed disappeared

Using an RSS feed works very well. I've never tried it with an adult site but used it on non blog sites before and got indexed very quickly.

Thats an interesting idea. But how much time longs an indexation of fex. 500 pages?

It depends on the PR of the homepage... higher PR = deeper spidering.

The best linkback is from a site with high PR rank with no linking back to them. Say... how do I turn html on in this forum?

yes but it's hard to get those high PR one-way links

you can't turn html on since it's disabled as on most of vBulletin forums because it's vulnerability

forums are much safer if html is turned off... i have fixed your signature btw

Awesome! Now this is the type of tutorial I like to see! Easy to find, simple to the point and results you can see.

I must've been doing something right as I made a bunch of new sites over the past few months and added blogs with RSS to each. I was surprised to find out they all started at PR3 or better and there isn't that much on the sites just intro to the point data and the blogs.

I didn't submit them to link dumps though and didn't submit them by hand to the SE's. I did however interlink each one to the other from relevant hard links and in the blogs as each site is a different comic book/cartoon site featuring unique characters and products. That's all! Just built the sites, designed them for SEO and added blogs and RSS and left em' alone. Now with this tutorial I can see what I did right and what in addition I can do better. Thanks!
