I haven't done any link exchanging. What are the downfalls, pitfalls, and other things to look out for? Is it really worth my time, or would I be better suited building 1 way links to my site through articles, product reviews, blog postings etc, with links all pointing back to my site?

go for 1-way backlinks all the way Randy. Link exchange web sites are full of cheaters like i said in previous post in this thread. make your own content with articles, make feeder blogs, submit to non-recip web directories, etc... i have recently started a small web site where i'm posting tips on money makng and various ways to promote web site, you can check what i did so far at Please Register or Login to view links

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to continue with the plans I made. After I get that system down and on autopilot, I'll branch out from there with something else. I am about to set up a blog to start posting some articles on that I wrote. I went to your site, hey...there's info on starting your first blog. I'm going to go back and read it.
