Well, you all probably know that there are two ways of accessing a website, either by typing Please Register or Login to view links or adultbizforum.com into the address bar of your browser. But is it necessarily a good thing to have both addresses listed in search engines?

The biggest issue with getting these two addresses indexed is due to duplicate content because SE's see them as two different sites. Google may penalize you for this "tactic," although you might not have purposely done it, by banning your site from its index.

Here is a way to correct this and redirect adultbizforum.com to Please Register or Login to view links.

Put this in your .htacess file.

RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www.adultbizforum.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.adultbizforum.com/$1 [L,R=301]

Basically what this will do is make Please Register or Login to view links change to Please Register or Login to view links whenever a user types in the no-www version.

Well www is just a sub domain as you can use any other sub domain as you like. Or if you use an * (sterix) you can type anything you like as subdomain, even you have not named it in your dns set up for that domain.

I do not think that google will penelize you for this as about 98% of all domains than must be penelized. So, nothing to worry about. They will penelize you only if you are going to use thousands of sub domains for your domain as this is real domain cloacking

hmm good point there zappu... probably you're rigth about penalizing domain for that, then everyone should be penalized
