Yes, we lost forum db in Dec 2005, we were making some tech upgrades on forum etc and somehow backup of db was corrupted and we lost it

Anyway, it won't happen ever agian

There's another discussion going on somewhere and some people would like to block Chinese traffic from their sites. I do on some of my sites because of vB and WordPress spammers and some of my sites I don't.

Now, if you use this code, place it in your .htaccess file in your root or in a folder you wish to block. This is a browser language redirect for Chinese, not a block.

You cannot redirect from your root to a folder on the same site, this will throw apache into a loop.

You can redirect from a folder to a different folder on the same site, provided this .htaccess is in the folder to redirect from and NOT in the root folder. Example; yoursite.com/tgp could be redirected to yoursite.com/other-folder.

Or:

yoursite.com could be redirected to your-other-site.com, providing this .htaccess code is not in the root of your-other-site.com

You can add or modify this file any way you choose.

To find out the browser languages of different geographical users, go to:

Tools>Internet Options>Languages>Add and look through the list.
