Post TGP integration in Joomla (or any CMS) possible?

Is it possible to use any script inside Joomla or Wordpress, specifically? I run a TGP/MGP site with TGPX from jmbsoft, however, i want to run preferably Joomla instead of the basic TGP website.

What holds me back is the fact that when i used Wordpress, I hated the hours spent placing/tagging images. When I moved to TGPX, I was free to do what I needed to do with galleries and then move on.

Why I want to run Joomla is due to the many things on a CMS I cannot do on the standard TGP site. Is there anything that fits inside Joomla (doesn't matter if it's free or not) so I can integrate a TGP/MPG?

Thank you for your help.

hi and welcome aboard i guess it could be integrated with frames or maybe with php include but that's just adding of one page into another... i don't know how much integration you want to do, maybe you should ask this question on some freelancers web site and see what answers you'll get from programmers

Thank you for the welcome, I'm glad I found this forum. From what I've gathered, it possibly could be done, but the full control of the program wouldn't be there because of how TGPX is setup to run.

I was recommended to have a TGP site in conjuntion with a Joomla site that had a coppermine bridge. This way, you have all that Joomla (and its many plugins), can offer in addition to the TGP/MGP site.

Maybe that's overkill, but I did think to respond to this so others would know and not spend a lot of time trying to do this same thing, and losing a week which would be better spent elsewhere.

kide83, your response is very much appreciated and I thank you.

Joomla is highly configurable, but you would need some php knowledge to do what you want to do.

However there is an option of running the tgp inside a wrapper in joomla. Joomla comes as standard with the wrapper option, you basically load your site inside joomla.

If you wish your TGP to be the joomla front page, create a new link in the joomla menu, when using the link options, make sure you select wrapper, type in the addy of your tgp then save the link. Then move the link to the top of the menu otherwise it won't show as your front page.

I don't have too many words right now, but I thank you. I have some configuration to do with the main TGP page so it prevents side-scrolling, but you solved a lot of headaches.

Much respect and appreciation.
