there's no difference between SEO for non-adult and SEO for adult sites... it's all the same - make good content, do onpage SEO and get as many inbound links as you can

Hi, I am aware of some of the techniques that are used by people to SEO their websites, but in case of adult sites the chances becomes somewhat limited isnt it? As not all places would allow to promote their adult sites and in such cases the whole work goes as a waste. So please let me know if I am correct in my statement and please also do post some additional tricks and tips as to how these sites can be successfully promoted.

well it is limited to some point... in adult you don't have articles sites but Link Lists and TGP sites where you can build promotional site and submit it... Free For All sites are called link dumps in adult... there are also tube and social bookmarking sites in adult like in non-adult...

i think everything else is the same for both, you have blogs and blog directories, you have web directories for adult sites, you have forums, you can do link trades with other webmasters, you can trade traffic, you have toplists, you can start your email opt in campaigns, you can SEO your pages...

it is not so much different after all hope i helped you at least a bit

Same as any ordinary site.
Create a good description in your html code.
Add meta tags with appropriate keywords.
Get other sites to legitimately link to your site.

In-bound links are important. Get on as many different sites as you can. And have good content to keep the traffic on your site.
